The Tyrfing is a decorative sword based on historical finds near the River Thames (London). These so-called Ingelri swords are believed to have survived after the large-scale Viking invasion of Britain in the 11th century. The swords of this period are distinctive in that they are the middle ground between a Viking sword and the now classic medieval knight's sword.
The Tyrfing's blade is made of hand-forged layered damask steel. This not only has a sublime look but also pays homage to the blacksmiths who made unique Wootz blades from raw ore . The Tyrfing has an ergonomically shaped handle wrapped in leather, which provides excellent grip and comfort. The sword comes with a luxury storage case.
